  • Do you only offer 55 minute sessions?
I currently offer 30 minutes and 45 minute sessions. Some clients do require more time and request for 1.5-2hrs. Please note all sessions over 55 minutes on the same day will likely not have insurance approval for extended sessions, those extended times specifically over 55 mins will be self-pay, and will require a self-pay agreement with clinician.
  • What If you don't accept my insurance or I don't have insurance?
I currently charge $150 for individual 55 minute sessions and $160 for initial assessments. All couples sessions are $225 for 90 minutes, you can request for a reduced session. Most of my clients do not have insurance and I charge their credit or debit cards via Stripe. This is processed through the same portal you have access to, once you are a client. Alternatively, if I do not accept your insurance I can also provide you will a superbill (Not for couples), and we can work on the health insurance provider reimbursing you for your sessions with me.
  • What work do you do with couples?
I utilize the Gottman Method as well as Imago Relationship Therapy. I educate and follow the Gottman recommended couples format. 1 session: Assessment (Joint) 90 minutes 2nd session: Individual session 45 minutes 3rd session: Individual session 45 minutes 4th session: Joint couple session 90 minutes 5th+: Agreement on plan, educational material review. Specifically for Initial Assessments (Not Consults) I will need to have a Credit/Debit card on file, in cases of cancellations after 24 hour period or issues with payments, I will charge the CC on file. I communicate all charges. Please note it is your responsibility to know your deductibles, co-pays, and insurance status. If you are using Blue Cross Blue Shield you will receive a link to register via Headway, that will be a 3rd party biller i'll use for this insurance, please note I am only licensed in Massachusetts and Florida. • Do you see clients currently at your physical address?
No I do not, unfortunately the office I currently have does not have capacity for waiting room or proper liability coverage. All my clientele are 100% virtual, for individual and couples work we use Simplepractice Telehealth App, for groups all sessions are on Zoom.
  • Do you only work with men?
Predominantly I see men over the age of 18. I do not exclusively work with men, this is just an area of I specialize in, one-third of my practice is composed of couples and female clients.
  • Do you accept insurance for couples therapy?
I do not accept insurance for Couples Therapy for the following reasons: Insurance typically covers "Conjoint Therapy" (90847) which is not Couples Therapy. Conjoint therapy is used to bring in a partner or family member to facilitate the therapy for an individual client who has a billable diagnosis, such as depression or anxiety. In Couples Therapy, neither partner is the "identified patient." Both partners are there to work on issues in the relationship that are causing distress. I also do not do Super Bills for Couples Therapy for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I use the Gottman Method Couples Therapy model which involves a structured assessment phase: 1st session: both partners for 90 min and they will be required to take the online Relationship Checkup through the Gottman network ($29 per couple). 2nd and 3rd session: each partner will be seen for 45 min after completing the Checkup. 4th session: both partners for 90 min to discuss the results of the Relationship Checkup and my assessment of issues to be addressed. During 5th session we will begin treatment planning at this point. Insurance doesn't pay for this level of therapy for couples. Initial appointment (which includes the new online Gottman Relationship Checkup and a written report) is $255 .Rates for ongoing sessions: $225 for 90 min sessions. Most sessions are for 90 minutes, unless we coordinate for individual 45 minutes sessions, or joint 60 minute sessions.
  • What type of therapy service do you provide?
I meet my clients "where they are at", I have many clients who have went through a series of formal therapy treatment, however now have a plan in which we are seeing each other more for "life coaching" with some clinical aspects to the sessions. Generally for clinical goals I will utilize: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Solution Focused Brief Therapy Emotionally Focused Narrative Person-Centered For Couples: Imago Therapy Gottman Method
  • Do you see couples?
I do. One-third of my clientele are couples. Please note that for health insurance purposes I need to have an "identified patient" as well as meeting "medical necessity", along with diagnosis. Couples often prefer to forego the insurance model unless there is in fact a behavioral health condition impacting their relationship.
  • What is your availability?
I am currently available in the evenings primarily during weekdays and weekends. When you are a client registered on Simple Practice (the telehealth service I use) you have the capacity to see more times and days available for sessions with me, that are not accessible before a consult or assessment. Monday 6:00PM-10:00PM Tuesday 9:00AM-1:00PM Wednesday 6:00PM-10:00PM Thursday 6:00PM-10:00PM Friday 6:00PM-10:00PM Saturday 9:00AM-1:00PM Sunday Closed

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
